Jeevan Pramaan – Digital Life Certificate is a biometric- enabled, Aadhaar authentication based system. Jeevan Pramaan is created based on the self declared information along with Aadhaar authentication. Jeevan Pramaan digitises and help in streamline the process of securing Life Certificate by eliminating the need to be physically present at Pension Disbursing Agency (PDA) Office or certification authority for creation of physical Life certificate. Jeevan Pramaan uses Aadhaar platform for generation of DLCs and store the DLCs on common Jeevan Pramaan portal for access to Pension Disbursing Agencies. PDAs process available DLCs on daily basis and release pension to the pensioner in a hassle free manner.

The Jeevan Pramaan ecosystem comprises of a Sanctioning Authority who issues pension payment order (PPO) to the pensioner, a Pension Disbursing Agency (PDA) who uses the DLC generated at Jeevan Pramaan portal for necessary processing and release of pension, Jeevan Pramaan Centers for facilitating DLC generation and the pensioner.
To further ease the way of submission of Jeevan Pramaan, Face Authentication based Life Certificate application has been launched on 29th Nov, 2021.

Face Authentication App eliminates the need of biometric device and hence makes it easier to generate life certificate from home using just an android smart phone. Large number of pensioners have already used this facility.
