MyGov
MyGov, established under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a citizen engagement platform designed to empower Indian citizens by connecting them with the government. Since its inception in 2014, it has grown to over 47 million users, and almost all Government Departments leverage it for engagement activities, consultations for policy formulation and the dissemination of information on various Government schemes.
MyGov is available in 12 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bangla, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu. It circulates its comprehensive weekly newsletter spotlighting the latest highlights & citizen engagement activities, as well as focusing on specialised newsletters like MyGov PULSE, a citizen connect fortnightly PDF newsletter and YUVAAM, a monthly PDF newsletter dedicated to the youth.
MyGov facilitates the exchange of ideas/ suggestions and creativity on various topics and policies through innovative methods like discussions, tasks, polls, surveys, blogs, talks, pledges, and quizzes. It also has microsites comprising infographics on transforming India curated by MyGov and the Campus Ambassador programme to engage the young citizens of the nation. It has also launched state instances in 23 States/UTs, ensuring that a wide and diverse range of voices are heard, representing a new era of participatory democracy and enabling every Indian citizen to impact the country’s governance.
