Government e-Marketplace is a unified digital platform that enables end-to-end procurement of products and services by various Central and State Ministries and Departments, organisations, public sector undertakings (PSUs), Panchayats, Cooperatives, and so on. Our Prime Ministers vision of using the power of digital platforms to create ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance’ inspired the creation of the Government e-Marketplace in 2016.

The GeM portal is founded on three core pillars: Efficiency, Transparency, and Inclusivity with the stated goal of eliminating outdated manual public procurement systems rife with inefficiency and corruption.
