Nextgen eHospital

The Digital India initiative, a flagship programme of the Government of India, aims to usher in a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. Through e-Governance initiatives in healthcare, spearheaded by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), technology-enabled citizen-centric healthcare services are becoming increasingly accessible. The Nextgen e-Hospital, e-Blood Bank, and ORS applications, developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) under MoHFW’s Digital India umbrella, exemplify this transformative shift.

The Nextgen e-Hospital application, hosted on NIC’s Cloud MeghRaj at the National Data Centre, adheres to global healthcare standards, ensuring seamless interoperability and data exchange among healthcare providers. The application continues to evolve, necessitating continuous functional and technical upgrades. Its web-based interface, coupled with modules catering to various healthcare facilities, including OPD, IPD, billing, and laboratory services, underscores its versatility in addressing the diverse needs of healthcare institutions. Moreover, the integration of e-BloodBank and ORS further enhances its utility, offering citizens convenient access to healthcare services and promoting efficient healthcare management nationwide.
