UIDAI joins hands with NFSU to enhance cybersecurity and digital forensics resilience
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) have joined hands to establish a structured, five-year collaboration in the domains of digital forensics, cybersecurity, and advanced technology research.

CERT-In SAMVAAD 2026
To advance India’s cybersecurity audit ecosystem and bolster the nation’s overall cyber resilience, CERT-In successfully hosted a three-day National Annual Conference — “CERT-In SAMVAAD 2026” — bringing together over 500 delegates, including policymakers, Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) from industry and regulatory bodies, representatives from CERT-In Empanelled Auditing Organisations and cybersecurity professionals from across the country.
Indigenously Developed Silicon Photonics Technology Solutions Launched
Shri S. Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, launched two Silicon Photonics technology solutions: (a) Silicon Photonics Process Design Kit (PDK) for photonics chip manufacturing, and (b) Universal packaged PPIC (Programmable Photonic Integrated Circuit) Test Engine indigenously developed at MeitY sponsored CoE-CPPICS, IIT Madras [https://cppics.iitm.ac.in/], in presence of Shri Amitesh Sinha, Additional Secretary, MeitY and CEO of India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), Prof Shanti Bhattacharya, HoD DoEE, IIT Madras, Governing Council Members of the centre. The launch took place on Friday, 24th April 2026. This is a major milestone in Silicon Photonics technology sovereignty for India and will serve as a shared national facility for the Indian photonics R&D community.

Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), today felicitated the winners of the ‘Cyber Security Innovation Challenge (CSIC)1.0’, launched under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) initiative of MeitY.CSIC 1.0 is implemented by Data Security Council of India (DSCI) and Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) Hyderabad in association with a network of 50 premier academic and autonomous institutions under the ISEA project. The initiative aimed to foster indigenous, research-driven cybersecurity solutions from the academic ecosystem including students and academic researchers.
