The Nyaya Setu AI Chatbot, along with its official mascot “Dishika”, was unveiled at the DISHA programme organised by the Department of Justice at Vigyan Bhawan by the Vice-President of India, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, and the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal.

In continuation to the approvals of 46 applications for Rs 54,567 crore announced earlier, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has further approved 29 proposals under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) with projected investment of Rs 7,104 crore, projected production of Rs 84,515 crore. These approvals are expected to generate 14,246 direct employment opportunities.

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), successfully conducted a 5-day Advanced Anti-Drone Training Programme for officers of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at DIAT, Pune. This is the first of its kind intensive, technology-driven advanced training programme specifically designed for personnel engaged in national security and protection of critical infrastructure.

The Digital India BHASHINI Division (DIBD), under the Digital India Corporation (DIC), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the initiative titled “BHASHINI for Seva / Sanchalan – A BHASHINI Sahayogi Program.” The collaboration aims to strengthen multilingual digital capabilities within the pension fund services ecosystem through integration with the BHASHINI Platform, India’s National Language Digital Public Infrastructure.

Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw chaired a meeting of the Parliamentary Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) today. The Agenda of the meeting focused on the issues of Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Emerging technology and Electronics Hardware Manufacturing. The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Jitin Prasada, Members of the Consultative Committee, Secretary (MeitY) Shri. S. Krishnan and other senior officials of the Ministry. Senior officials from the Ministry conducted detailed presentations on the agenda topics, elaborating on key initiatives, their progress and future roadmap.

In line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision to democratise technology and empower citizens, Government of India launched the Digital India programme in July, 2015.

Aadhaar is the world’s largest biometric identity system maintained by Unique IdentificationAuthority of India (UIDAI) with approximately 134 crore live Aadhaar holders. It has completedmore than 17,000 crore authentication transactions.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, organizedthe second edition of the National Additive Manufacturing Symposium (NAMS) on 13 March 2026at Scope Convention Centre, New Delhi, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders,researchers, start-ups and other stakeholders to deliberate on the growth of the AdditiveManufacturing (AM) ecosystem in India. The symposium served as a national platform fordiscussions on policy directions, technological advancements, market opportunities and ecosystemstrengthening required to accelerate the adoption of additive manufacturing across key sectors of theIndian economy.

The data centre industry in India is growing steadily. The total data centre capacity in the countryhas increased from about 375 MW in 2020 to around 1500 MW by 2025.

Government of India launched the IndiaAI Mission in March 2024 with the objective of building arobust ecosystem of AI in the country. The Mission seeks to expand access to AI technologies,support innovation and promote the development of AI solutions addressing India-centric challenges.
