Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Launches Guidelines and Portal for Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme
Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the guidelines and portal on 26 April 2025, for the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), marking a major step towards strengthening India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem. The initiative aims to bolster domestic production of electronic components across sectors like telecommunications, automotive, and energy, while creating approximately 92,000 direct jobs. The scheme includes employment-linked incentives to attract manufacturers and strengthen India’s electronics supply chain.
