Digital India State Consultation Workshop held in Meghalaya
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the Information Technology & Communications Department, Government of Meghalaya successfully organized a Digital India State Consultation Workshop at Shillong on 6 May 2026. The workshop was inaugurated by K L Nongbri, Joint Secretary, IT & Communications Department, Government of Meghalaya, in the presence of Sunil Jain, Director, NeGD, and Ajay Kumar, NeGD. The distinguished presence of senior leadership reflected a strong and shared commitment towards advancing digital governance and strengthening Digital Public Infrastructure in the State. The workshop witnessed active participation from representatives of various State Government departments and institutions, providing a collaborative platform to deliberate on accelerating the adoption and integration of key Digital India initiatives, including DigiLocker, Entity Locker, Meri Pehchaan, API Setu, UMANG, MyScheme, and the implementation aspects of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. The sessions focused on enhancing interoperability, improving service delivery, and enabling seamless access to citizen-centric services through digital platforms.
