Digital India Awareness University Workshop at Indian Institute of Technology, BHU
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology conducted a Digital India Awareness University Workshop at Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on February 2, 2025.
The workshop included sessions on key initiatives under the Government’s flagship programme- Digital India viz. DigiLocker & Entity Locker, Open Forge, UX4G and Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
In the workshop, Shri J L Gupta, Director, NeGD gave an insightful address on the Digital India programme and its impact to make both faculty and students aware about various initiatives and its benefits thereof.
Around 200 students from various streams and several faculty members of the university participated in the workshop to learn about the various e-governance platforms and citizen-centric applications and asked questions to the experts. A ‘Digital India Quiz’ was also organised for the participants wherein 15 students were awarded.
