
Semi-Conductor Laboratory
Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), Mohali is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. SCL provides end-to-end solutions for the development of Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), Opto-electronics Devices, and Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) Devices. This encompasses Design, Fabrication, Assembly, Packaging, Testing, and Reliability Assurance.

CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd
The CSC is a strategic cornerstone of the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), approved by the Government in September, 2006, with an aim to cover all 6 lakhs census villages by one lakh CSCs, as per 1:6 ratio equitably spread across rural India, as part of its commitment in the National Common Minimum Programme to introduce e-governance on a massive scale.
Common Services Centres are the access points for delivery of Government-to-Citizen (G2C) e-Services within the reach of the citizen, by creating the physical service delivery ICT infrastructure. It helps in making a transparent service delivery mechanism and reducing citizens’ effort in visiting government offices.

Software Technology Parks of India (STPI)
Software Technology Parks of India was set up in 1991 as an autonomous society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). STPI’s main objective has been the promotion of software exports from the country. STPI acts as ‘single-window in providing services to the software exporters. The services rendered by STPI for the software exporting community have been statutory services, data communications services, incubation facilities, training and value-added services. STPI has played a key developmental role in the promotion of software exports with a special focus on SMEs and startup units.

Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER)
Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER) is an autonomous R&D institution under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. SAMEER is an offshoot of the Microwave Engineering Group of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai. SAMEER was formed in 1984 as an R&D Laboratory of the then Department of Electronics, Government of India and moved to its present location at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 1988. SAMEER has five centres located at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Vishakhapatnam and Guwahati. The headquarters of SAMEER is located at IIT Bombay Campus, Mumbai.

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT – Formerly DOEACC Society)
National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) is an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. NIELIT is actively engaged in Capacity Building and Skill Development in the areas of Information Technology (IT); Electronics; Communication Technologies; Hardware; Cyber Law; Cyber Security; Geographic Information System (GIS); Cloud Computing; Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM); e-Waste; Internet of Things (IoT); Big Data; Block Chain; Data Analytics; e-Governance and related verticals.

Education & Research in Computer Networking (ERNET)
ERNET India is an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of Dept. of Information Technology, Government of India having one of the largest nationwide terrestrial and satellite network with 5 points of presence located at the premier academic and research institutions in major cities of the country. Focus of ERNET India is not limited to just providing connectivity, but to meet the entire needs of the academic and research institutions by providing consultancy, project management, training and other value added services such as web hosting, e-mail services, video conferencing, domain registration, CUG services.

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC)

Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET)
Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET) has been set up as a Registered Scientific Society in March 1990 under Department of Information Technology (formerly Department of Electronics) as a unique concept for development of viable technologies in the area of materials mainly for electronics. C-MET is operating with 3 laboratories located at Pune (Head Quarters), Hyderabad and Thrissur with specialized research mandate at each place. The mission of C-MET is to develop knowledge base in the electronic materials and their processing technology and become a source of critical electronic materials, know-how and technical services for the industry and other sectors of the economy.

National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI)
NIXI is a not for profit Organization under section 8 of the Companies Act 2013, and was registered on 19th June, 2003. NIXI was set up for peering of ISPs and other entities like content players, CDNs etc having their own AS numbers, among themselves for the purpose of routing the domestic traffic within the country, instead of taking it all the way to US/Abroad, thereby resulting in better quality of service (reduced latency) and reduced bandwidth charges for ISPs by saving on International Bandwidth. NIXI is managed and operated on a Neutral basis, in line with the best practices for such initiatives globally.

Digital India Corporation (DIC)
Digital India Corporation is a not for profit Company set up by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India, under Section 8 of Companies Act 2013. Earlier the company was known as ‘Media Lab Asia’. It has been renamed as ‘Digital India Corporation’ w.e.f. Sep 8, 2017. Digital India Corporation (DIC) leads and guides in realizing the vision, objectives and goals of the Digital India program. It provides the strategic support to Ministries/Departments of Centre/States for carrying forward the mission of Digital India.

National Informatics Centre Services Inc.(NICSI) (PSE under control of NIC)
National Informatics Centre Services Inc. (NICSI) was set up in 1995 as a section 25 Company under National Informatics Centre, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India to provide total IT solutions to the Government organizations. It’s objectives are to provide the economic, scientific, technological social and cultural development of India by promoting the utilization of Information Technology. Computer-Communication Networks, Informatics etc.

National e-Governance Division (NeGD)
In 2009, National e-Governance Division was created by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology as an Independent Business Division under the Digital India Corporation. Since 2009, NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of the e-Governance Projects; provide technical and advisory support to Ministries/ Departments, both at Central and State levels along with other Government organisations. NeGD’s major operational areas include programme management, project development, technology management, capacity building, awareness and communications related activities under the flagship Digital India Programme.

MyGov
The citizen-centric platform empowers people to connect with the Government & contribute towards good governance. MyGov has been established as Government of India’s Citizen Engagement Platform which collaborates with multiple Government bodies/ Ministries to engage with citizens for policy formulation and seeks the opinion of people on issues/ topics of public interest and welfare. MyGov has adopted multiple engagement methodologies like discussions, tasks, polls, surveys, blogs, talks, pledges, quizzes and on-ground activities by innovatively using internet, mobile apps, IVRS, SMS and outbound dialling (OBD) technologies.

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI)
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is a statutory authority established under the provisions of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The Aadhaar Act 2016 has been amended by the Aadhaar and Other Laws (Amendment) Act, 2019 (14 of 2019) w.e.f. 25.07.2019. Prior to its establishment as a statutory authority, UIDAI was functioning as an attached office of the then Planning Commission (now NITI Aayog) vide its Gazette Notification No.-A-43011/02/2009-Admn.I)

Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (ICERT)
CERT-In is operational since January 2004. The constituency of CERT-In is the Indian Cyber Community. CERT-In is the national nodal agency for responding to computer security incidents as and when they occur. CERT-In has been designated to serve as the national agency to perform the following functions in the area of cyber security: Collection, analysis and dissemination of information on cyber incidents, Forecast and alerts of cyber security incidents, Emergency measures for handling cyber security incidents, Coordination of cyber incident response activities.

Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA)
The IT Act provides for the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA) to license and regulate the working of Certifying Authorities and also to ensure that none of the provisions of the Act are violated. The Certifying Authorities (CAs) issue Digital Signature Certificates (DSC) for electronic authentication of users. Its aim is to promote the growth of e-commerce and eGovernance through a wide use of digital signatures. National Informatics Centre (NIC)
National Informatics Centre (NIC) of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is providing network backbone and e-Governance support to Central Government, State Governments, UT Administrations, Districts and other Government bodies. It offers a wide range of ICT services including Nationwide Communication Network for decentralised planning, improvement in Government services and wider transparency of national and local Governments. NIC endeavours to ensure that the latest technology in all areas of IT is available to its users.

Standardisation, Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) Directorate
Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) Directorate is an attached office of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, provides quality assurance services in the area of Electronics and IT through countrywide network of laboratories and centres. The services include Testing, Calibration, IT & e-Governance, Training and Certification to public and private organizations. STQC laboratories are having national/International accreditation and recognitions in the area of testing and calibration.
