e-Governance has played a key role in embarking the journey to achieve the goal of ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance’. It has helped the Government to enhance the coverage, increase transparency, improve response to citizens and lower costs; on the other hand has facilitated citizens to have better access, equity & social empowerment. DARPG and MeitY have been jointly organizing the National Conference on e-Governance every year in partnership with one State Government since 1997.
