Awareness Workshop and On-boarding Exercise for DigiLocker & EntityLocker in Puducherry
NeGD, MeitY, in collaboration with the Directorate of Information Technology, Govt. of Puducherry, organized a Workshop on DigiLocker and UMANG in Puducherry. The event was inaugurated by Shri Choudhary Mohammed Yasin, IAS (Secretary, IT), alongside Shri Shivraj Meena (Director, IT), Shri Mahesh Halyal (SIO, NIC) and Shri Ajay Kumar (Addl. Director, NeGD). Shri Yasin emphasized empowering citizens with seamless online access to documents and certificates through DigiLocker and to provide all services of the UT digitally through the UMANG app. NeGD experts delivered technical sessions on DigiLocker, Entity Locker & UMANG, explaining their operational and technical aspects.
Digital India Talk Show organised at Pondicherry University
NeGD, MeitY conducted a Digital India Awareness Workshop – ‘Digital India Talk Show’ in collaboration with Pondicherry University on 30 July 2025. The workshop witnessed an enthusiastic participation of 200+ students and faculty members, featuring insightful sessions on key Digital India initiatives such as DigiLocker, UMANG, Cybersecurity, ABC (APAAR)-NAD, DPDP Act 2023. The event also included an engaging Digital India Quiz with exciting prizes. Eminent dignitaries including Prof. P Prakash Babu (VC, Pondicherry University) and Mr. Ajay Kumar (Additional Director, NeGD) addressed the gathering, inspiring students to actively participate in India’s digital transformation journey. The workshop served as an important platform to empower youth and create awareness about the Government’s flagship initiatives under the Digital India Programme.

NeGD organised an awareness workshop on DigiLocker and EntityLocker in Kohima, Nagaland on July 18, 2025. The workshop, organised for state government officials, aimed at spreading awareness among Govt Departments about DigiLocker, EntityLocker, and for also on-boarding them on these platforms.
Digital India Talk Show at Kohima Science College, Nagaland
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and IT, conducted a ‘Digital India Talk Show’ at Kohima Science College, Nagaland, on July 17, 2025. Over 400 students and faculty participated in sessions on DigiLocker, UMANG, Cybersecurity, ABC-NAD, and other key Digital India initiatives. The event featured expert talks, a Digital India Quiz, and interactive discussions to foster digital awareness among youth. Students who excelled in the quiz received Digital India gift hampers. The workshop aimed to educate and inspire young minds to actively engage with India’s digital transformation and explore emerging opportunities in the tech landscape.

The Digital India State Consultation Workshop, held as part of the two-day event AI Bharat @ MP – Workshop on Accelerating Governance with AI Innovation, Aadhaar and State Consultation, concluded today at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre (Minto Hall), Bhopal. Jointly organized by the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) and the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the second day focused on strengthening Centre-State collaboration under the Digital India programme. The aim was to highlight key eGovernance initiatives by MeitY that enable knowledge exchange, identify opportunities for IT projects leveraging the Digital India platform, and define the roadmap for technology-driven governance.
