Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), C-DAC, Indian Toy Industries and LEGO Group celebrated the Convocation Ceremony of the 2^nd batch of engineering graduates who have spent a year training under the project ‘Development of Electronics and IT-based Control and Automation Solutions for Consumer Electronic Goods (Toy Industry)’. The project is a tailor-made initiative of R&D group of the Ministry to foster the growth of the Indian electronic toys industry by developing prototypes and equipping young engineers, including from under-represented communities, with the skills needed to design such toys.

Union Minister for Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, handed over 28 chips fabricated at Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL) Mohali (including 600 bare dies & 600 packaged chips) by students from 17 academic institutions under the Chips to Start-up (C2S) Programme. The chip handover ceremony was organized during his visit to the Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL), Mohali, on 28^th November 2025 to review the progress of work and ongoing modernisation activities.

The fifth edition of the India Internet Governance Forum (IIGF‑2025) came to a close today after two days of discussions at the India Habitat Centre and the India International Centre. The multi‑stakeholder gathering attended by representatives from central ministries, technology companies, civil‑society organisations, universities and international bodies deliberated on how to nurture an open, trusted and inclusive internet ecosystem in India.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has deactivated more than 2 crore Aadhaar numbers of deceased individuals as part of a nationwide clean-up effort to maintain the continued accuracy of the Aadhaar database.

The fifth edition of the India Internet Governance Forum (IIGF) will be held on 27–28 November in New Delhi. The venue for the first day of the forum will be the India Habitat Centre while the proceedings of the second day will be held at the India International Centre. Participants from government departments, tech companies, civil society groups, universities and policy circles are expected to join the multistakeholder event. The idea of the event is to bring people together to discuss the direction of India’s internet and to identify the areas that need attention.

In a landmark initiative to strengthen India’s cybersecurity ecosystem, Shri S Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched the Cyber Security Innovation Challenge (CSIC) 1.0 under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project of MeitY. The launch event was held at Electronics Niketan, MeitY, New Delhi on 24.11.2025 in the presence of Government officials, industry experts and academia.

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar, successfully conducted a three-day national training programme on “Drone Technology and Its Applications” from November 17-19, 2025.
