Workshop on DPDP Act organised in Leh, Ladakh
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in association with the Information Technology Department, UT Ladakh, organized a workshop on the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 on 8 July 2026.
The workshop focused on building awareness and strengthening the capacity of government officials on the provisions and implementation of the DPDP Act. Technical sessions covered the Act’s legal framework, data governance, consent management, Data Principal rights, data inventory and mapping, and organizational measures for ensuring compliance and protecting personal data.
The workshop witnessed active participation from officials representing various government departments across Ladakh and provided a valuable platform for promoting responsible data governance, privacy awareness, and secure, citizen-centric digital governance in the Union Territory Ladakh.
