Digital India Awareness Workshop on India AI Impact Summit 2026 and Digital India initiatives in Mizoram
A Digital India Awareness Workshop focusing on the India AI Impact Summit 2026 and key Digital India initiatives was organised on 23 January 2026 at the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Aizawl, Mizoram. The workshop saw the participation of around 250 students, professionals, government officials and technology enthusiasts, reflecting strong interest in digital and AI-led development in the State. The programme opened with a welcome address by Shri T. Gunendra Singh, Director, NIELIT Aizawl, followed by a keynote address from Shri Vanlalringa, Principal Informatics Officer, ICT Department, Government of Mizoram, who highlighted the State’s progress in e-governance and digital infrastructure. The Chief Guest, Dr. Y.L.N. Reddy, IAS, Secretary, ICT Department, spoke on the role of artificial intelligence and digital tools in governance, education and economic growth. Expert sessions on the IndiaAI Mission, the upcoming India AI Impact Summit 2026, and flagship Digital India platforms such as DigiLocker, UMANG and myScheme were also conducted. The workshop concluded with an interactive AI quiz and prize distribution.
