India is set to convene the Impact Summit in February 2026, aiming to position AI as a driver for sectoral transformation across government, industry, and society. Recognizing that national ambitions must be rooted in regional priorities, the government of India is planning a series of eight Regional AI Conferences which are to be held in eight different locations across India from October 2025 to January 2026. These will be organized in Meghalaya, Gujarat, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala, and Telangana. Regional AI Conferences will be conducted in partnership with state governments, premier knowledge institutions (IITs/IIMs), and thematic central ministries. It will be a high-level, outcome-oriented regional summit leading up to the India–AI Impact Summit 2026. It will see participation from the domestic ecosystem including local population, industries, startups, civil society, researchers and academia.
