TIMESOFINDIA SEPT-2019 Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Thursday said that the government is keen to make India a $1 trillion digital economy that is dominated by digital payments & service, ecommerce, Internet of Things (IOT) and new technology powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). "It took India 55 years to become a $1 trillion economy. In the last 5 years of the Narendra Modi government, we have reached the $2.7 trillion mark. We now wish to realize the goal of becoming a $5 trillion economy. In the digital sphere itself, we are keen to make to make India a $1 trillion economy," Prasad said.
